But you two are arguing because you want everyone to agree with your version of reality. Maybe you should allow that we all live in different places and have different experiences of immigration and how it changes our communities.
It sometimes feels like we can't have conversant immigration without things ending in name calling. It isn't racist to want to preserve your own culture.
