Collective actions are made up of individuals taking that action together. I don't know how one organises a mass of civil disobedience in the US, but when folks try here in the UK ( see Insulate Britain arrests), they are dragged off to jail. I can't see any marching in the streets here going well. Where would it end - in violence? What other kinds of collective action can make a change? Non violent action. I have kids and they need to see change, but not bloodshed, please.
Can anyone suggest any apps that help local people respond to fly tipping or pollution in our area? Derrick Jensen wrote about tribes along the Amazon each caring for their section of the river. There was a term for it I can't recall, but these jobs existed before and were sacred and they will exist again and be sacred. I can only do what I can dream. Any ideas out there?
