My personal reason for avoiding works of fiction over twelve minutes or so on here is that I can't curl up with the story the way I would with a book. There is something about fiction in my hands in book form that lets me truly suspend my disbelief. I cannot get that same feeling staring at a PC screen. Maybe that's just me. I really love Matthew Donnellon and his pub the Inkwell. Good stuff.
