Oh, dear. I love Frank Herbert's novel Dune, and the followups he did. His son was not able to weave the later tales quite as adeptly as his daddy. It sounds like you really didn't enjoy the film. I am curious if you have read the books yet? So much of the novel is introspection by the characters that I wonder how they conveyed those moments in the film. Boringly, it seems. Quel domage!
