Puffin Books hired Inclusive Minds to adapt Roald Dahl’s childrens books into “acceptable” works for the modern age. For instance, they removed the word “fat” from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. They changed many passages of The Witches to appear more woke and inclusive.

The Guardian also wrote about this travesty and you can read it here, as The Telegraph ususally has a paywall.

I found myself agreeing with Mr. Lawrence, below. I can’t believe they are taking a unique and delightful voice in childrens’ literature and trying to massage it to fit their own values.

Get the fuck away from the art, you philistines!
